Something I've struggled with in my people is beauty. I used to be frustrated when I couldn't draw soft women or graceful poses. There would always be something sticking out the wrong way, or a bit of sharpness in their look. But when I worked really hard and was able to do it, I wasn't satisfied. It didn't feel like me. So I am embracing awkwardness. Sinewy, straight-eyebrowed, long-limbed awkwardness. I love it. Of course I'll never let go of contraposto, but I'll force it a little into a position that may hurt when you try to do it yourself. Human bodies are gorgeoouusss
I was shocked to find out about the Mannerist style, which is incredibly similar to my ideology, but it came right after the rennaissance so it's not exactly what I want to do. ~colourette and ~YamiNoMalik are really cool too
anywayyyyy it was good to get that off my chest because I'd been thinking about it alot. Hopefully I'll have something to show for it. christ I need to get better at art.
