Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

because ummm leaving them out is like leaving out bellybuttons to me.....especially on girls wtf @_@

hahaha that wasn't really serious but it kind of was at the same time XD

But this leads to my next point, that if there's one thing I learned in figure drawing it's that dudes have boobs too.  ANIME PEOPLE!  Men do not have flat chests.  Even skinny guys have a bit of boob.  Srsly just put a little shading there and the chest looks so much more 3D. @_@ I amazed myself when I tried it.

That reminds me.  For all the trouble I have drawing girls my gallery seems to have hardly anything else.  I should upload more duuuudes since I usually draw them. But they would all be scraps because i tend to just draw on scratch paper....

thoughts?!?  Very out-of-nowhere journal (since i refuse to use the word random)

i agree that nips are left out too often in art. prime example - the utena movie! hehe

and i can appreciate the look of man breasts too! pec-tastic i say~ no matter how full or flat - gots to have em!!

oh, and I think I might be guilty of drawing flat-chested guys... or... do I? I don't really know, I know that I TRY to make them look realistic and that guys do have some kind of boob as well, but I guess I might have drawn it very inconspicious (maybe a bit too much so?) out of fear of making them look too busty again. Or something @_x *babble*

There are so many bra's now-a-days that prevent nipple showage that I haven't put much thought into it really...however I was browsing some Hyung-Tae Kim the other day and he loooooves to shade huge pointy nips on the majority of his females ^^

Teeth have been bothering me lately...I feel like I cop-out every time I fill a mouth with just white, so on my latest one I rendered teeth >:]
